Guidance Notes

  1. Upon receipt of your contact details I will send you an information pack, containing details of all the information needed to proceed with your design.
  2. You now need to measure up your garden, I usually start by measuring the house and use this as a datum for measuring the garden. 30m tapes make this job much easier, and can be hired from your local hire centre.
  3. Draw a plan of your garden as it is now, to scale on the graph paper provided. Add main dimensions. Write on heights of walls/fences etc. Show positions of house windows and doors and any changes in level, don't forget to show the North point.
  4. Highlight any features you wish to keep.
  5. Make any notes you wish to bring to my attention at the side of the drawing.
  6. Highlight any features outside of the garden that require screening or any views that are worth keeping.
  7. If you can, add any photographs of your house, and particularly those which show problems/features, these are imperative to ensure a successful design, don't forget to reference them on your drawing.
  8. Fill in the questionnaire adding any items you feel I have missed.
  9. When you feel satisfied you have included all the information you can, send it off to me with your cheque for the correct amount for the size of your garden to the address shown.

  10. Thanks Paul.
